A home came to us requesting this lovely pram parking sign for one of their residents, this is the story behind the request: -

"A lady came into a home in January 2016 and was very reluctant as she felt the home was for old people who dribble. Therefore a volunteer badge was made for her and she came in.

In her early marriage, she fostered children, adopted two and also ran a pre-school nursery from her home. Children are her life and she adores babies. We have three life like baby dolls who grasp fingers or their heart beats and she carries these around all day. Also in her room she has a crib where she puts the “babies” to rest or sleep, but because she carried the baby around all day, her arms can become tired so we arranged to buy a traditional Silver Cross pram for her to push the baby in.

She needed to park the pram outside of her unit due to health and safety reasons, and in case she runs over the other residents. There is space outside of the door for her to park the pram, this is why the sign is important. It will give her somewhere to recognise that she can park the pram, but also get it when she wants to come into the main areas of the home. The home is nicely arranged and there are lots of areas for her to push the pram as well as go out into the garden (weather permitting)."
